Cursed Fairytale Season: What's New

Cursed Fairytale Season: What's New

You have known these stories since childhood. Now it’s time to survive their darker side.

Once upon a time, there was a maiden of such grace and gentleness that the people of the kingdom called her Snow White. Her lips were red as roses, her hair dark as ebony, her skin pale as fallen snow. Wherever she passed, even the mirrors of her father’s castle seemed to glow.

But the blessing of beauty weighed on her like a chain. No one saw Sophia, the princess and heiress—they saw only Snow White, a vision to be admired, a name spoken with sighs until her true self was lost. Her bright eyes dulled, her thoughts drifted like mist, and she wandered farther from the castle walls with each passing day. Only a pocket-glass kept her company.

Then came famine. The fields withered, the treasury emptied, and the people’s faces grew hollow. Snow White strayed beyond the walls, into the old coal mines, deserted even by the dwarves who once dug there. Save for one, too weary to depart and too stubborn to perish.

In those black tunnels she lingered, feeding on bitter red apples touched by plague, speaking only to the coughing dwarf and her faithful mirror. No prince came riding to her rescue. Only the Rat King, cast out of the capital, his crown broken, his claws keener than his heart. He found her there, pale as cerement, and spoke a bargain: together they should take the throne, not in wedlock, but in crime.

Snow White, silent and hollow-eyed, did not gainsay him. The Rat King set her mirror upon a revolver by craft of alchemy and steel, and thereby claimed her trust. With the old dwarf at their side and baskets of poisoned fruit in their hands, they set their steps toward the castle. And Snow White’s gaze, hollow for many years, shone once more.

The lesson of this tale? Perhaps there is none. But within it lie treasures, and not all of them are make-believe:

  • Snow White—a princess of sorrowful beauty, now with a tale twisted anew. A happy ending? Such things are seldom told.
  • The Rat King—a proud outcast, crownless and cast aside. His own throne was lost, yet he made certain the Nutcracker’s fell as well.
  • Deadly Reflection—a revolver wrought with Snow White’s pocket-glass. She had gazed into it so long that now each shot carries her charms, lulling prey into stillness before the venom takes them.
  • Death’s Fruit — the plague given flesh in the shape of sacred apples. Whoever tastes them is slowed, poisoned, and drained of life. And the old dwarf tends the harvest still, for this has become his grim calling.

Do not close the book too soon, for two more tales are yet to be told.

The first speaks of a mermaid, young and curious, who longed for the world of men. She swam near their ships, listened to their fisherman’s songs, watched their strange rituals with shining eyes. Yet the sea is fickle, and human hearts are crueller still.

One night she was spied by sailors, who cast their hooks and hurled their harpoons. They dragged her aboard, pierced her with iron, and nearly split her open. Yet she slipped away, wounded and silent, and sank to the ocean floor. There her love for mankind drowned, and in its place grew only vengeance — small at first, like a hatchling, but swelling until it filled her like a great white shark.

Time passed. Ships vanished. Some whispered of the Leviathan, a monster of the deep. But the oldest sea-wolves knew: there are no monsters in this world, save those men make for themselves.

The second tale tells of a girl in a red cap who went to her grandmother’s house. She carried cakes and pies in her basket and sang merry songs as she walked. Days went by, yet she did not return.

The wolves had grown bold, circling the village, their snarls reaching even the gates. None dared go searching. Then, as swiftly as they had appeared, the wolves were gone. The villagers lit their torches and shouldered their pitchforks, marching to the grandmother’s house.

Halfway there they met her — Little Red Riding Hood. But she was changed. Though only days had passed, she stood taller, her shoulders broad, her waist ringed with gnashing fangs. Crimson stained her face, and in her gentle hands she carried a hatchet, steady and sure. She smiled still, and sang her whimsical song.

And what do these tales bestow upon us? Well, let’s see:

  • Little Mermaid—no longer the helpless child of sorrow, but a bearer of vengeance. And note this: she is only the second avatar without feet—for she never bartered away her tail.
  • Leviathan Fang—a heavy harpoon, pulling its wielder towards the foe. Few survive its strike; those who do are left bleeding, and do not linger long.
  • Little Red Riding Hood—once a merry girl, now a hardened hunter. She loved her grandmother, and loathed the wolves. Should you meet her on the battlefield, it is you who will need the saving.
  • Crimson Treat—a three-barrel shotgun, whose song heals its wielder and lays low all who dare oppose it.
  • Red Reaper—a powerful axe and a lantern that burns brighter when foes draw near. Together they are a fell pair.
  • Silent Howl—a rifle cloaked in wolfskin. To its master it grants armor and strikes most critical. For with each shot, revenge grows sweeter still.

Time to take a break from scary fairytales—the Final Summer Parties are rolling on, and jam #2 is here: Beach Chorus!

What’s it like? Picture sunshine, waves, and sandcastles… sounds a bit too idyllic for Pixel Gun 3D, right? Don’t worry—we’ve spiced it up with a little chaos. Your job is to smash those sandcastles and scoop up rewards: guns, bonuses, Pixelpon tags, plus a one-of-a-kind avatar and ride (they look deliciously good).

To wreck those sandcastles, you’ll need shovels—yep, the small, bright plastic ones you remember from childhood. And there’s only one place to earn them: the battlefield.

F2P-players are getting all the unique prizes plus a chest with a gun. VIP players’ loot list stacked a bit higher: more chests, more guns, more bonuses… and even their own private beach.

So grab a shovel, hit the sand, and let’s make sure everyone leaves this party loaded and happy!

Here it comes—the final power chord of the Final Summer Parties!

The name says it all: you’re invited to the backyard party. But first, you’ll need to rebuild the map to find your way. Need a hint on what to watch for?

  • Party Booster—a brand-new, shiny yellow gadget that turns you into a giant, party-hard duck armed with Twin Soakers water blasters. It’s kinda like Robot Samurai or Battle Mech—but with even more punch.
  • Twin Soakers—a backup with piercing shots that slow and mark your target. Fast, mobile, solid damage, and pure party vibes you can bring to any arena.

And don’t forget: the Backyard Reprise activates the Pixelpon event! Tags from the Final Summer Parties give you a shot at the best gear in the game—even the legendary Ultimatum itself.

All of this—to make sure we close out summer with a bang!
