Portalius
Across the multiverse, his name stirs only two emotions — fear and fury. And for good reason. Portalius was the source of countless catastrophes, invasions, and disasters, leaving scars all across the Simulation. His very existence is living proof that Portalium is not something to be taken lightly.
But he wasn’t always a monster. Once, his name was Mick Rodriguez — a brilliant physicist, a man of science, and one of the leading researchers of Portalium at the military facility known as Area 52. He led the development of the Portalium Armor Project, and might have done great things for his world… if he hadn’t become a victim of his own invention — and of someone else’s cruelty.
Back then, General Grimblock, under whom Rodriguez worked, secretly nurtured plans for global domination. His goal was simple: create advanced Portalium-powered gear that would make him unstoppable. But the scientists under his command were moving “too slowly,” and Grimblock decided to motivate them in the most horrifying way imaginable. During one of his “supervisory visits,” he ordered Rodriguez to put on the experimental armor — and then personally shot him with the Prototype weapon.
A flash. An explosion. When the smoke cleared, Mick Rodriguez was gone. Declared dead. But in truth, the Portalium resonance between the armor and the weapon’s beam hadn’t destroyed him — it had ripped him out of reality. The scientist awoke somewhere deep within the Simulation: wounded, disoriented, his body partially fused with the armor. Microscopic Portalium crystals now flowed through his veins. And instead of death… he found power — the power to open portals between worlds.
He tried to return home. But without exact coordinates, Rodriguez was doomed to wander blindly through random worlds of the Simulation. Years passed, and with every jump, the Portalium corrupted his mind a little more. First he forgot his name. Then his purpose. In the end, only pain and rage remained. And so Mick Rodriguez became Portalius — a being driven by a single desire: to destroy the multiverse that had destroyed him.
The traces of his journeys can still be seen — glowing portal scars carved into the very fabric of reality. Portalius left them wherever he went, as if burning a map of his madness onto the body of the multiverse itself.
Had he retained his sanity, he could have told us so much — about the Simulation, its worlds, and its wonders. But that’s a hope long gone. After all his crimes, Portalius was finally defeated by the heroes of the multiverse — completely and irreversibly.
Though the relief didn’t last long. Because, as it turned out… Portalius hadn’t been working alone.
